PARANORMAL researchers are investigating after an apparent UFO was snapped hovering near the Great Wall of China.
HOAX: A fake CGI UFO over the great wall in a Section 51 YouTube video.
The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) today received a report from an eyewitness who shaped the “flying saucer” near the great wall at Simatai in the north of Miyun County, 72 miles northeast of Beijing.
US-based MUFON is the world’s largest independent organisation dedicated to UFO, alien and other paranormal research.
It also maintains a database of sightings from across the globe, which it investigates.
The unnamed photographer said in a report to MUFON: “I Went for great wall hiking.
The UFO (ringed) that was snapped over the great wall today and sent to MUFON.
I think it was flying straight over the sky around the hill or great wall structure. – Eyewitness
“I didn’t notice at all until I went back to the state and checked on my cellphone pictures.”
The witness thinks it is a UFO, they said in the report.
They added: “I think it was flying straight over the sky around the hill or great wall structure.
“I didn’t realise at first, as I was capturing the view site of the great wall while hiking.”
The wall has been a ho spot for UFO sightings, and there are many videos on YouTube, but several have turned out to be hoaxes.
However, the object in the image may not be as exciting as it seems, and certainly not of extra terrestrial origin, according to Scott Brando, a forensic UFO investigator who has debunked hundreds of suspected UFO videos and pictures through his website ufoofinterest.org.
He told Express.co.uk it was likely a “blurfo”.
This is a term coined by UFO investigators for a blurred bird or insect that is caught on camera and resembles a disk or flying saucer shape.
He said: “It is a blurfo. In this case it’s most likely an insect.”
